(Adnkronos) – Sarebbe anche la preoccupazione comune per il possibile disimpegno di Donald Trump da alcuni dossier, a cominciare da quello ucraino, ad aver fatto scattare "la molla" che ha spinto Giorgia Meloni ed Emmanuel Macron a decidere finalmente di incontrarsi per il loro primo bilaterale ufficiale. Lo raccontano all'Adnkronos fonti vicine al dossier, dopo settimane di "dispetti" sull'asse Roma-Parigi, con la premier che parla di "molta panna montata" nel racconto delle divergenze tra i due leader. Alla vigilia di vertici importanti – il G7 di metà giugno, poi quello della Nato e a seguire quello europeo – Italia e Francia sono d'accordo sulla necessità che gli europei debbano essere tutti allineati "per tenere agganciato" il presidente americano, mentre la battaglia sui dazi continua e resta sempre alto il rischio che gli Stati Uniti si sfilino dal negoziato sull'Ucraina.  Di qui la decisione di vedersi, dopo "la goccia che ha fatto traboccare il vaso" a Tirana – il botta e risposta piccato tra Meloni e Macron sull'esclusione dal vertice dei leader della coalizione dei volenterosi – con il disgelo avviato in un colloquio telefonico e la proposta del presidente alla premier, secondo quanto riferito dall'Eliseo, "di venire in visita a Roma perché è nel suo ruolo riunire gli europei e perché ha a cuore lavorare con lei".  "La Francia e l'Italia sono partner reciprocamente importanti e condividono numerosi interessi comuni, in particolare, in campo economico", avevano detto due giorni fa fonti della presidenza francese. Concetti ribaditi ieri dalla stessa Meloni al termine della sua visita ad Astana: "Italia e Francia sono due nazioni amiche, alleate, sono due nazioni che hanno posizioni totalmente convergenti su moltissimi dossier". Certo, ci possono anche essere delle "divergenze… i leader discutono, a volte discutono anche animatamente, ma questo non è che compromette o modifica i rapporti tra le nazioni", aveva sottolineato ieri la premier.  
Quella di martedì – con l'incontro delle 18 seguito da una cena – dovrebbe essere l'occasione per i due leader di proseguire "la costruzione della fiducia, mettendo fine ai dispetti", dicono le fonti. Che sottolineano come, al di là dei temi internazionali – in cima all'agenda anche il Medio Oriente, con la conferenza di New York sulla soluzione dei due Stati, promossa dalla Francia e dall'Arabia Saudita – ci saranno molti dossier bilaterali in discussione, dal tema dei migranti a quello della competività, e poi le questioni industriali ed economiche, alcune delle quali hanno causato frizioni, come Stmicroelectronics e Generali-Natixis. 
Il 'faccia a faccia della riconciliazione', come lo hanno definito i media francesi, potrebbe anche servire a capire se ci sono le condizioni per convocare il vertice intergovernativo Italia-Francia, l'ultimo dei quali risale al febbraio del 2020 a Napoli. Se non si conta quello del 26 novembre del 2021 a Roma, durante il quale venne firmato il Trattato del Quirinale, che a livello ministeriale sta funzionando abbastanza bene.
